The transition back to the world above isn't an easy one. She's living in a big house literally filled with ghosts. Astra doesn't have the first clue where to start. Thankfully it doesn't take long for the busy bodies to show up. Ava shows up to help with the practical needs. They go shopping for things to make the place a little more Astra's and helps her organize the chaos of this house without offending the spirits living here. Behrad comes over with some old school games and movies to chat up about everything she should know in 2020. Zari is the most annoying of all, of course. She works on making Astra a real person in the world again. She puts her in touch with weirdos in costumes who evidently have skills she needs to get the little things like a GED in case she ever wants to go to the states. Who knew teachers were superheroes? Zari apparently.

They go shopping for clothes they don't make her look like an 80s villain as Zari so lovingly describes. Astra wonders how the older Tarazi has this all so readily available when in this time she's only a little younger than Astra would have been, but never asks. She has the feeling a lot of these resources might have been meant for her mother. That's not a topic she's ready to touch on just yet.

She's grateful, but sucks at showing it. Naturally when Behrad asks if they can host a Legends' dinner at her place she says yes after making a show of not wanting to do it. Astra hasn't been to a party on Earth since she was what? Eight? She's not replicating that sorority party that's for damn sure.

That leaves her putting up cheap paper streamers and balloons because what else does she know how to do? The internet is still something Behrad is talking her through so it's not like she can hit up Instagram for ideas. Or at least she tries to use what she remembers. The balloons are apparently acceptable, but the streamers keep falling down much to Astra's frustration. She's tried every threat in the book, but they're spirits. What can she do to them? She goes back to her old default: treating someone (Gideon) like a minion and commanding them to get a hold of John for her. It evidently does the trick (or maybe he came early to check on her) because he does show hours before the others are expected. She stomps over to him, nearly screaming in frustration.

"Finally! Tell them to stop tearing down the streamers. I'm not going back to the store because these idiots hate paper." Surely the smartest thing to do when living in a haunted house is yell at the residents. Good thing her mom is probably secretly watching over her.
